"Menstrual health is not a luxury — it is a right. When girls are informed and equipped, they stay in school, stay confident, and lead."

Breaking the Silence

Our Key Activities

From education to distribution, every activity is designed to eliminate period poverty and empower girls to stay in school.

Menstrual Health Education

We conduct interactive sessions in schools teaching girls about puberty, hygiene, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing during menstruation.

Sanitary Pad Distribution

We distribute thousands of quality sanitary pads to girls in underserved communities so that periods never become a barrier to education.

Community Sensitisation

We train teachers, parents, and community leaders to break the stigma and build supportive environments where girls feel confident and heard.

Reusable Pad-Making Training

We empower girls and women to sew affordable, reusable sanitary pads — building a sustainable income skill while solving a hygiene challenge.

School Facility Advocacy

We work with schools and local authorities to ensure there are clean, private, and functional washroom facilities for menstruating girls.

Ongoing Monitoring & Follow-Up

Our team regularly follows up with schools and communities to measure impact, gather feedback, and continuously improve our interventions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about our Menstrual Hygiene Management program.

Who benefits from the MHM program?
Our program primarily targets school-going girls aged 10–18 in underserved communities across Ghana. We also engage boys, teachers, and parents to build holistic support systems.
How are sanitary pads distributed?
Pads are distributed directly in schools and community centres during our outreach events. We partner with local schools and district education offices to ensure every girl in need is reached.
How can I donate or sponsor the MHM program?
You can donate money or sanitary supplies via our website's donation page, or contact us directly to discuss corporate or individual sponsorship packages. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference.
Does the program only provide pads?
No — pads are just one part of it. We also provide education, counselling, skills training (reusable pad-making), and advocate for better school sanitation facilities. We address the full menstrual health journey.
How can schools partner with Ladies Lead Foundation?
Schools can reach out through our contact page or email us directly. We welcome partnerships with public and private schools, NGOs, and community groups who share our mission.
