Menstruation is a natural part of life, yet it remains a taboo topic in many communities, leading to misinformation, stigma, and harmful practices. Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) is crucial for the health, well-being, and dignity of girls and women worldwide.

Empowering the girl child with adequate knowledge of the basic hygiene practices to be observed before, during, and after their menstrual period is very key to their development. Menstrual Health Management (MHM) is an integral part of every girl’s life, but many girls lack access to proper resources to manage their menstrual health in safe and hygienic ways. For some girls, menstrual hygiene leads them to be ostracized by their communities, develop health issues, and even interfere with their education. As part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda, Menstrual health should never impede any girl’s education, safety, or well-being. We organize programs in schools and communities coupled with the sharing of sanitary towels to promote good menstrual practices.
